"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:16
Here at St. John’s we love to celebrate and honor the accomplishments of our high school seniors! We celebrate our seniors with a special graduation breakfast, a senior recognition service, and the presentation of a Study Bible to help guide them in their next journey. Graduating seniors who are members of St. John’s also have the opportunity to apply for the Inez Crain Scholarship!

Inez Crain Scholarship
The Inez Crain Scholarship Fund has been established at St. John's United Methodist Church to recognize those who have served their church and to supplement the financial needs of St. John's members who are enrolled in higher education. Inez Crain loved her church and education. We honor her and her lifetime of service to Christ in the presentation of these awards. It is open to graduating seniors pursuing higher education. Funding for this scholarship is provided as a budget item and supplemented through the gifts of St. John's members, church offerings, designated gifts, and fund-raisers.
APPLICATIONS will be available on January 15, 2023. Please email your application to foundation@stjaiken.org.

Senior Sunday
Sunday, June 4, 2023
We will acknowledge the accomplishments of our graduating high school students at the 11:00 worship. This is a very special service where students wear their caps and gowns, and we have a Senior Times bulletin and a senior slideshow. During the service, graduates will be presented with a Bible on behalf of the church in hopes that it is something they will use for years to come. There are several ways that graduates participate in leading this service, from reading scripture to praying, to sharing their testimonies.
Email foundation@stjaiken.org if you are interested in participating in the 2023 Senior Sunday service.
