"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."
Philippians 1:6
St. John's UMC and the Aiken area has a large population of active seniors and baby boomers. Some are retired, some still working, and some actively involved in volunteer activities, but all vibrantly interested in their faith, local community, international community, and other people. They love to learn, travel and experience new things.
The St. John's Senior Adult Council works to make sure there is plenty to do and ways to stay busy, not just for the members of St. John's but also for the surrounding community. We invite any seniors in our community to join us!

Senior Fellowship Opportunities
JOY Fellowship
JOY stands for Jesus, Others, and Yourself and that's the priority for the members of this fellowship group. Of course, they also enJOY life and each other. JOY meets the first Monday of each month at 10:30. You can expect lots of fun and laughter as you participate in games and activities that are designed to entertain and amuse you as well as exercise your MIND. If you would like additional information, please contact Rev. Butch Blackwell, Nurture Pastor.
The Primetimers Travel Group
Sunny Monday
The Primetimers are a group of adults from St. John's and the community who travel by bus, exploring different areas of the state and outside the state of South Carolina. Some of the trips are single day road trips and others are multi-day excursions. The tour schedule is decided upon each year following a presentation, and is based on interest in each of the options presented. Stay tuned for trips coming in 2022!
This group from St. John's and the community meets at the church on the 2nd Monday of each month at 10:30 a.m. A program providing entertainment, enlightenment, and/or enjoyment is presented. Following the program, a delicious, hot lunch including a scrumptious dessert, is provided for the small cost of $4.00. Reservations are required for the lunch and may be made by calling the church at 803-648-6891. This is a wonderful way to meet people and make new friends from both within the church and in the surrounding community.
