Michelle Pearson, SEED Director
Michelle was born in Lansing, Michigan, but has lived in Aiken for most of her life. She and her husband, Barry, have three married children and four grandchildren. To her, the best aspect of being the Director is watching the children laugh and learn while sharing the love of Jesus Christ with them. She has been on the staff at St. John's since 1995.
Mary Gail Staubs, Assistant Director & Buds (3K) Teacher
Mary Gail is originally from West Virginia. She and her family moved to Aiken in 1990. Mary Gail has been on staff at St. John's since 1992. She is married to Bryan and they have four children together, a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, two grandchildren, and several grand dogs and one grand cat. She loves going to the beach and spending time with her family. The best aspect of teaching is seeing the children's smiles when they accomplish their goals and the satisfaction of seeing them grow in Christ.
Carla Dillman, Sprouts (4K) Teacher
Carla moved to Aiken in 1989. She is married to Robin and they have two sons and a daughter-in-law; Ryan, Rachael and Eric. Carla believes the best aspect of teaching at St. John's is spreading the love of Jesus to the children and their families. Carla has a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University. She began teaching 3K at St. John's in 1996 and moved to teaching 4K in 2014.
Dixie Hardee, Pods (toddler) Teacher

Dixie is from Spartanburg, SC. She and her husband, Tim, moved to Aiken in 2013. They have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. Dixie started as a substitute with the preschool/MDO and now feels extremely blessed to be a permanent part of the staff.
Stephanie Holt, Buds (3K) and Sprouts (4K) Teacher
Stephanie was born and raised in Aiken. She and her husband Jason are the proud parents of two children, Natalie and Coleman. Stephanie has been teaching since 2005. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from USCA and a Master's degree in Teaching with Technology from Ashford University. After teaching kindergarten and first grade in Aiken County Public Schools, Stephanie felt God leading her to St. John's SEED to share her love of God and her passion for teaching. She feels that the most exciting part of teaching is watching a child's "light bulb" go off. Stephanie enjoys sharing her love of learning with all the sweet little ones she has the privilege to teach here at St. John's SEED.
Ashleigh Whittle, Sprouts (4K) Teacher
Ashleigh is a South Carolina native from Gilbert. She and her husband, Chris have two children, Madee and Noah. The live on a farm. Ashleigh has a degree from the University of South Carolina in Art Education. She taught at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School before she had children of her own and enjoyed it, but she really enjoys the blessing of working in the loving Christian environment at St. John's. Her favorite part of teaching the younger children is their innocent, pure nature and the joy that overcomes them when they master a new skill.
Jill Erford, Blooms (5K) Teacher
Jill has taught kindergarten at St. John's since 2013. She moved to Aiken in 2012 from Findley, Ohio. She and her husband, Matt, have 3 sons, Kyle, Carter, and Tyler. Jill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Reading Education from Ohio University. Jill loves watching students learn new things and seeing them apply the knowledge. She also loves to see them master a task or skill for the first time. When not at school, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her family.
Natalie Jones, Preschool Prep Teacher
Natalie was born in West Virginia. She moved to Aiken and began her work in childcare in 1990. She and her husband, David, have one daughter, Jennifer. They have three grandchildren, Aaliyah, Christopher (Junior), and Robert. She has always enjoyed seeing how children grow and become their own individual person. Natalie loves the unique and innocent perspective children gain as their personalities develop. She has been employed at St. John's since 2005.
Patsy Flowers, Music Teacher
Patsy is an Aiken native. She is married to Neil, a United Methodist Minister. They have one son and a daughter-in-law, a grandson born in 2008 and a granddaughter born in 1980. Patsy taught preschool here at St. John's until the end of the school year 2014-15. After retiring as a full-time teacher, she rejoined the staff as the music teacher. Patsy loves music and teaching the children to share that love brings her great joy.
